What is it?

Taken from Autosmart themselves. Heavy duty, acid free wheel cleaner. Foaming 'Hi cling' formulation with excellent deep cleaning performance removes stubborn brake dust and grime.

How we Tested it?

Before we started testing various wheel cleaners for Trusted Products, Smart Wheels was our go to wheel cleaner. We have used it on a variety of vehicles and types of wheel from plastic to alloy to coloured and bespoke finishes at various dilutions.

We Liked:

• Quite simply sensational cleaning ability both with or without agitation. Spray on, leave a couple of minutes to do its thing, blast clean with a pressure washer.
• Dilutes down to a 2:1 ratio which helps the products economy and value.
• Nice clingy formula means that you get both a good coverage and a good contact time between cleaner and wheel surface.
• Non acidic formula means it is safer for regular use and will not corrode your alloy wheels.

We Didn't like:

• Horrendous, choking odour. Do not breathe this in as it will do you no good whatsoever.
• Accessibility to the public. Trade focussed brand. Beware of eBay knock offs, though there are many genuine sellers.

Overall:

We are yet to discover a better performing wheel cleaner for all tasks. Tackles everything from light to the heaviest of soiling and often with a touchless wash. Certainly a product to take care when using as it really can choke you as we have found out when first using it on a windy day but you accept this due to the performance of the product. Not the cheapest product, expect to pay close to £50 for 5L, but with it being able to be diluted, combined with the amazing results we would happily pay this.
