What is it?

Power Maxed Tar and Glue Remover is perfect for removing bitumen tar, rubber residues, glue, and adhesive from decals, vehicle wraps, paint protection films, and wheel weights. Its strong solvent-based formula starts to dissolve contamination on contact, virtually eliminating the need for multiple applications.

How we Tested it?

We were kindly sent a sample from Power Maxed in 500ml form to trial over a range of vehicles, varying in levels of tar coverage on bodywork and wheels. We observed dwell time, reaction time and general effectiveness of tar removal. We have since purchased Tar Off again and tested the glue removal qualities on several surfaces.

We Liked:

• Fantastic value for money. A little goes quite a long way and product is well priced.
• Very impressive reaction time, instantaneous tar melting visible on contact and process complete in around a minute.
• Nice dwellcontact time as liquid is just viscous enough to cling to the area sprayed on to.
• Awesome glue removal ability. We were really struggling to remove the remains of a tax disc on a client's vehicle and this made short work of it.

We Didn't like:

• Don't get this on your skin, very irritating to skin. More advice than a criticism.
• Trigger heads failed on us and we had to replace with our own chemical resistant trigger head. Seems a consistent theme on stronger Power Maxed products.

Overall:

An excellent product that does exactly as it is meant to. A few areas of thicker tar deposits required a second application or gentle agitation with some tar off on a microfiber cloth but overall it removed the deposits with ease and very quickly. We like the value for money and prefer the dwell time to its strongest rival, Autosmart Tardis. Due to the effectiveness on both tar and glue we will be keeping a bottle on our sheves. Just sort those trigger heads Power Maxed!
