Known issues and safety

Recall check: we searched GOV.UK product safety alerts, reports and recalls (Office for Product Safety and Standards) for “Samsung television” and “Samsung” on 18 October 2026. No notice for a Samsung television was found [3]. The results were for Samsung gas hobs and for counterfeit or third-party phone chargers, which are different products.

Samsung’s manual says that you should install a wall mount on a solid wall at 90 degrees to the floor, and that screws longer than the stated length can damage the TV. It also advises fastening all four VESA screws [2]. The manual also says that Samsung is not responsible for damage if you choose to install a wall mount yourself.

Questions people ask

What resolution is the T4300?

1366 × 768, according to Samsung’s manual [2]. That is HD, not Full HD.

How do I wall mount it?

Samsung’s table for 32-inch sets shows a 100 × 100 mm VESA pattern with M4 screws [2]. Use screws within the length range in the manual.

Is it a smart TV?

The manual refers to Smart Hub and to initial setup through the SmartThings app, which needs a mobile device on Wi-Fi [2]. We did not read the list of supported apps.

Does Samsung still sell it?

Samsung’s UK page for this model now redirects to the general TV page, and the support page labels it as a 2020 model [1]. Check stock with a retailer.

Alternatives

  • Samsung T5300 (32-inch): Listed in the same manual as a Full HD (1920 × 1080) sibling with the same dimensions and weight [2].
  • LG OLED C3 (55-inch): A very different class of TV. See our separate page.

Our verdict

Based on the evidence, this suits a small room where a 32-inch HD screen is enough. Look elsewhere if you want Full HD or better. This is a research summary, not a test result.
