We work hard to be accurate, but we do get things wrong. If you spot a mistake, an out-of-date detail or something unclear, please tell us.
How to tell us
Use our contact page or email support@trustedproducts.uk. Please tell us:
- the page (the web address helps)
- what you think is wrong
- a source if you have one, such as a manufacturer’s page or a recall notice
What we do
- We acknowledge your message within 5 working days.
- We check the claim against the sources.
- If we find a mistake, we correct the page.
- For a correction that changes what a reader would understand or decide, we add a note to the page, for example: “Corrected [date]: the battery capacity was shown as X. The manufacturer’s datasheet gives Y.”
- For minor fixes, such as typos, we simply correct the page and update its date.
Safety concerns
If your message is about a product safety issue, we check official sources first (see Product safety and recalls) and add the information to the relevant page as soon as we can. If you believe a product is unsafe, you can also report it to your local Trading Standards office.
Older pages on this site
Some pages were written before March 2022 by the previous owners of this site, when it traded as Trusted Car Products. They are marked as archive reviews: they describe the previous owners’ experience at the time and have not been re-tested. A small number of later pages were reviewed in person by us and are marked “reviewed in person”. All other pages are desk research based on manufacturer specifications and published feedback, and do not claim testing. If a page describes personal use that doesn’t fit these descriptions, we haven’t been able to verify it: tell us and we will correct it.
What this page is not
We can’t give personal advice about a purchase or a consumer dispute. For help with a faulty product or a refund, see the Citizens Advice consumer service (citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer).
