Known issues and safety
Recall check: we read the official GOV.UK notice “Product Recall: Tower Air Fryers” (reference 2503-0094) on 18 October 2026. It was first published on 8 April 2025 and last updated on 9 March 2026 [2]. It covers products that may overheat and ignite, made between January 2022 and April 2023. It lists six models: T17023, T17061BLK, T17067, T17087, T17129L and T17129. The T17100 is not in that list [2].
The notice tells owners to check their product on Tower’s recall site [3]. That site asks you to complete a step-by-step form with contact details and a photo of the rating label, so we could not use it to check a model independently. If you own a Tower air fryer, check the model code on the rating label under the appliance and compare it with the list above.

Alternatives
- Other dual-drawer air fryers: Compare total capacity, wattage and whether the maker publishes a recall and warranty page.
- Single-basket air fryers: Smaller and cheaper, but only one food at a time.
Our verdict
Based on the evidence, this suits households that want to cook two items at once in a 9 L unit. Look elsewhere if you want written confirmation from Tower that this model is outside the 2025 recall, or if you need a verified weight and warranty. This is a research summary, not a test result.
