How we research car shampoo
- Each page summarises the maker’s page and a UK retailer listing, with the date we checked it.
- We search GOV.UK product safety alerts, reports and recalls for the brand and say what we found.
- We have not tested these products ourselves, and we mark anything we could not verify.
What to check on each page
- The dilution ratio, what the maker claims about its formula, pack size and any warnings.
- Whether the page names the exact model, because makers sell many variants under one name.
