Known issues and safety

Recall check: we searched GOV.UK product safety alerts, reports and recalls (Office for Product Safety and Standards) for “ring automotive” on 19 October 2026. It lists a July 2025 recall of the Ring RTC6000 cordless tyre inflator, models RTC6000 and RETC6000, for a lithium-ion battery fault that can cause overheating and fire in certain batches [2][3]. The recall names the RTC6000, not the RTC2000, but it is the same kind of product from the same maker. Check your model number, and follow the recall advice if you own an RTC6000.

Charge lithium batteries as the instructions say, and do not leave them charging unattended.
