What is it?

Power Maxed's entry into the world of rain repellent coatings. They describe the product themselves as follows; Rain Off dramatically improves wet weather driving visibility. The hydrophobic effect is extremely evident during rain and your vehicles routine weekly wash. Water can be seen beading off even a static vehicle but is enhanced while driving with wind speeds taken into consideration.

How we tested it:

We tested Power Maxed Rain Off as part of a group test against rival products. We also tested the product individually and as with other glass sealants looked for water repellency on light and heavy water flow, ease of use and value.

We Liked:

• Water not only beads fantastically, it sheets away heavier water flow rapidly leaving the windscreen almost touch dry. Fantastic for heavy rain and for when stationary.
• Very easy to apply with a very short cure time. After this it is removed with ease.
• Easy to dispense a small amount with a good trigger head and bottle design.
• Good durability with wipers having little effect on how long the product lasts.

We Didn't Like:

• Not much to fault in the product other than questioning its value compared to rivals in terms of quantity for your money.
• Although decent, not quite as durable as some rivals. 

Overall:

We found it almost impossible to pick between this and Rain X in our group test of rain repellents. The way Power Maxed entry sheets water away to an almost dry touch is fantastic but in the real world driving at speed is it any better than rivals? Yes but in our opinion possibly not justifiably for half the value of Rain X.
