What is it?

The Aukey HD-C29 Dashboard Mount is a universal phone cradle with a very sticky suction mount. It can be mounted into the windscreen or directly onto the dashboard and can hold a phone up to 5.5" so will just squeeze in an iPhone 7 Plus which has a screen size of 5.5".

It has a washable suction mount that is made of a sticky material which helps its adhere to the surface that you are mounting it to.

It currently retails at around £8.99 and comes presented in a small box with a manual and a warranty card.

How we tested it?

We tested it during a trip to Portugal to hold a phone for it's Satellite Navigation and numerous times back in the UK. The beaming sun was a test for the sticky mount on both the windscreen and dashboard.

We Liked:

• It feels quality made and solid - we tested it with an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 7 and both held up completely still with no vibration or shaking.
• We had it mounted on the windscreen most of the time and it didn't shift, even when removing you have to peel it off the windscreen so I'm confident it wouldn't go anywhere. It didn't leave any marks or residue once removing.
• It comes in a lovely black glossy finish
• It also comes with a 24 month warranty which is hard to come by on this kind of product.

We didn't like:

• I'm struggling to find anything we didn't like with it... It did everything we wanted and it did it well.

Overall:

Once again with a AUKEY product we've struggled to find any issues with it - obviously if purchasing just make sure your phone will fit in - but to be honest you can't go too far wrong.
