What We Say

What is it?

Quite simply it's probably the worst smelling product we have used so far"¦.or as CarPro put it "Cherry Scent". CarPro - Iron X is a highly effective, acid-free and pH balanced (6~7pH) car paint, wheels & glass cleaner (safe for all wheels including aluminum and alloys). CarPro Iron X is effective and safe for use on all car surfaces and will not deteriorate clear coats.

How we Tested it?

We have purchased 500ml bottles of both the "Cherry Scent" and the "Lemon Scent" of Iron X and used it on a variety of bodywork and wheels observing its dwell time, distribution of the liquid and "bleeding" effect.

We Liked:

• No doubt about it, this product works and works well. Clear bleeding of the ferrous deposits and much cleaner wheels on completion.
• Good dwell time on the bodywork, nice and thick mixture allowed for the product to have a good work time.
• Smart, professional packaging and great service from Carpro.
• Premium brand feel both in the performance and appearance of the product.
• Well priced for 500ml bottles.

We Didn't like:

• This is probably the worst smelling car product we have ever used. We don't feel it could be classed as a 'Cherry Scent'.
• The above comment was true until we used "lemon scent" which we are certain has shortened our life expectancy. That being said, the smell is the only let down.

Overall:

If you can get past the smell and it is difficult, there is no doubt that Iron X is a great product. It's no surprise that you go on any detailing forums and you see it recommended as the fallout remover of choice for most. We can't really fault it in terms of performance.
