What is it?

POWER MAXED TYRE & TRIM DRESSING returns your tyres & trim to a natural sheen, making older rubber/plastic look new again. It is the perfect way to finish, and an essential step for the perfectionist. The best thing about this product is the more coats that you add the richer, deeper colour you'll get.

How we Tested it?

We were keen to try this new offering from Power Maxed after being so impressed with their other offerings and loving the deep shine given by their tyre dressing and renovator. We tested the product on a variety of tyres and both heavily faded and general condition plastics as well as textured and smooth trim.

We Liked:

• Easy to use with a good trigger head giving a nice even spray. We applied it by spraying onto an applicator pad and rubbing over surface.
• Leaves a lasting as new look on tyres. Don't expect high gloss, just a subtle fresh look to your tyres.
• Use very little in application.
• Useful for dressing honeycomb grills and similar tricky areas due to consistency of the liquid.

We Didn't like:

• To be honest we weren't a fan of this on trim generally. We found even after multiple coats the finish would be a little streaky and certain plastics it wouldn't take too at all. Much prefers textured plastics.
• Requires patience to get a finish on tyres we liked as needed multiple coats but was worth the wait.

Overall:

We aren't usually a fan of products that claim two purposes such as tyre and trim as generally we find it is one or the other. This did prove the case for us with this entry from Power Maxed but that doesn't mean by any means it should be overlooked. If you like subtle and stylish, this is the tyre dressing for you. While it takes more patience for the finish required over say a gel dressing, it lasts longer and leaves a genuine new tyre look rather than an artificial finish. We definitely recommend a bit of trial and error if you are unsure on the finish to start with, we weren't, but we persevered and now love it. We won't be using it on trim unless it is a honeycomb type grill or textured plastic lower splitter type area as we didn't like the finish but the product will be taking a proud place on our shelf alongside other great PowerMaxed efforts.
