What is it:

Rocket Butter describe it as: Makes your shine, stay mighty fine. The perfect post-clean solution. Once you've cleaned your car, protect all that hard work! Lasts up to 8 weeks. Great when you're on-the-go!

How we tested it:

We were sent a range of Rocket Butter products to put through its paces. We have used the detailer on a variety of cars, including our own to monitor the protection, beading and observe the finish left by the product.

We liked:

• Easy to use, literal spray and wipe to apply leaving no residue or hazing at all.
• Great slick look to cars once applied, can see a clear difference on application in the gloss of the vehicle.
• Definitely adds protection, beading was very apparent after application.
• Quirky packaging and catch lines appeal.

We didn't like:

• Smells chemically, most quick detailers have nice scents to them and it isn't as pleasant to use as some rivals.
• Found we had to use a little more product than some rival products.

Overall:

A nice detailer which spot cleans bugs and small blemishes from paintwork well and leaves a definite protective layer behind. The 8 week claim on protection may be ambitious but as a detailer, any protection is a bonus as its largely about that finishing touch. Its good value, performs well but we just wish it was a little bit more enjoyable to use.
